Player-Versus-Player Changes
1) Mechanical fighting
2) RP fighting
3) RP fighting mixed with mechanical fighting
We’re changing Number 3.
The Changes:
If players cannot agree on a way to fight, they will use RP fighting mixed with mechanical fighting (Number 3) instead.
How “RP Fighting Mixed with Mechanical Fighting” Will Work
If this type of fighting is used (If players don’t agree on other forms), players will take turns fighting one another. During your turn, you can do one of three things.
1) Draw a weapon
2) Attack with a weapon
3) RP one action. (Be reasonable. Don’t build a car during your turn. Normal powergaming rules apply.)
Once you emote striking with a weapon, you will attack them, once, mechanically. No missing on purpose.
Important: Players cannot attack until they emote drawing a weapon. Drawing a weapon takes one turn.
How to Take Turns
Once you’ve completed your turn, the other player will have a turn. This will continue, back and forth, until the fight ends. When a fight “ends” is left to the discretion of the players. If more than two people are fighting, players will determine the turn order. The player who starts the fight will go first.
Running Away
A player can run away from battle by emoting it. Once they have, they are free to run away. Players who’re still fighting can fire at a player who’s running away without using a turn. Or, if they wish to “chase” a runner, they can. If this happens, they will be treated as a “runner,” themselves. If two runners come into contact by “tagging” each other, PvP may start again. The same, basic rules apply: Agree on a type of fight. If there is no agreement, RP mixed with mechanical will be used. This, however does not mean you can resort to flat out mechanics to PvP. You MUST RP no matter what it is.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I Bandage / Stitch / Apply a Splint During Fights?
Yes. You may “heal” yourself to stay alive during a turn-based fight.
Can I Eat Food During Fights?
No. You may not eat during combat.
Can I Move Around During My Turn?
Yes. You may mechanically move around during your turn. Please be reasonable. Don’t run across the map. Additionally, don’t forget to emote your action.
Can I Skip My Turn?
Absolutely. If you find yourself unable to act—or, if you don’t want to—you may skip your turn.
What if Zombies Get Involved?
Players can agree to pause the fight scene until zombies are dealt with. Use common sense. If no agreement happens, any players fighting zombies will “give up” their turn to do so.
Can My Animal Fight?
If you have an item which allows your animal to mechanically injure others (war armor, etc.), then it can fight. It will fight in the same turn as its owner. If a player attacks your animal with a physical weapon, it will be killed.
