Character Background:
Don lived his entire pre-zombie life in his home province of Sask, Canada. and was a pretty unremarkable person, even fore Regina standards. Done spent his youth indoors in front of a television or buried in a book and always considered himself a generalist because of that, but it left him with few relationships and unremarkable social skills. Don was pushed into getting jobs in manual labor or construction and was often successful because of his size and weight. He had only just recently gotten his teaching degree but the zombie apocalypse has cut his teaching career short. Don has always suffered from mental illness for as long as he can remember and before he took control of his faculties, he let them rule him, this led to alcoholism and oral fixation. Anti-depressants have helped change his life around for the better and helped him pursue his teaching dreams.
Zombies- With everything and everyone around getting eaten alive by something that shouldn't even exist, Don was relatively prepared for the coming collapse of society because his anxiety had caused him to stress over the "what ifs". He used his anxiety and common and general knowledge he had accumulated over the years to black out and bunker down in his small house until things went quiet and the supplies ran out. He then reluctantly set out into the world to find what ever family or friends survived...
Now, Don is alone, dirty and hungover. On his journey south for a warmer climate to settle in a permanent home, he finds himself in Kentucky. After observing a few other survivors from a distance, he has come to the conclusion this could possibly be the place he finally settles down to live out the rest of his life in relative comfort.
